Early Access
Learn how we roll out major changes and how to preview them before they're released to everyone.
Overview
For some major features or updates, we may choose to release them via early access first. There are two main reasons for this approach:
Change management: We know larger teams have established processes and training in place. Previewing features or changes lets you communicate with your team ahead of time, ensuring there aren't any surprises when the feature goes live.
Feedback: The early access period gives us a valuable opportunity to gather feedback from real-world usage. We can ensure all edge cases are accounted for and make further adjustments if there's room for improvement.
Enabling early access
By default, early access is only available to users with the "owner" role. If you'd like to extend this option to the rest of your team, you can enable it through Settings → General → Early Access. You'll need to be an owner to update this setting.
Try an early access feature
When a new feature becomes available for early access, we'll announce it through our regular product update emails and website posts found here. We may also reach out personally if we think you'd be interested or if you've provided related feedback in the past.
To try a feature, click the Early Access button in your sidebar and enable the feature you want to test. To disable a feature, simply switch it off again.
Please keep in mind early access features are usually still in beta.
Providing feedback
If you have any feedback, suggestions, or encounter issues while trying an early access feature, please let us know via the support chat in the bottom right corner. Your input during this phase helps us refine features before they reach all users.
